Churches and Cathedrals of Manhattan, New York City

Over 40 churches are featured on 11 web pages on this site, all visited by myself in October 2003. These pages form a leisurely tour around the island, visiting the churches in the same order that I did. Unless mentioned otherwise the churches are Roman Catholic. The views and opinions are mine, and I hope the dates and architects mentioned are facts. Little seems to be published on churches in New York and my sources are many. Still there must be omissions and mistakes in the text that follows.
